GreenSupplyChain DIH (GSC) is a proud sponsor of the FOSSCOMM 2024 conference, which will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece on 9-10 November 2024.
FOSSCOMM is an annual conference that celebrates the vibrant Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) community in Greece. Organized entirely by volunteers, this event brings together developers, enthusiasts, and advocates to share their knowledge, showcase their projects, and explore the latest trends in the world of open-source technology.
Open-source software is seen as a way to democratise the digital transition of the agri-food sector, which is in the core of the mission of GSC. Open-source can help addressing several key problems faced by small farmers, related to the accessibility, performance, and sustainability of Digital Agriculture solutions. Therefore, GSC is sponsoring the event and our Technology Director Nikos Kalatzis will be there to present our relevant work in the scope of OpenAgri, a Research and Innovation project funded under Horizon Europe.
The conference is organized and run solely by volunteers, and all expenses are covered by sponsors and donations. Attendance is free, so please drop by to learn more about how the open-source solutions of OpenAgri can help paving the way for a more resilient and efficient agricultural ecosystem, but also how you can apply to receive funding for your own open-source Digital Agriculture solution.
The OpenAgri project has received funding by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
All the information is available on the project’s website, as well as Facebook, Linkedin, X and Youtube.
